Campion is a 1/2 Accoyo male out of Pperuvian Felix with super fine, coffee/rose gray fleece. His micron count at 2 years of age was 20.6. His bite is perfect and his conformation is excellent. He has a sweet disposition and has impregnated 5 out of 5 females on the first try for us this spring! He won First Place in the halter class at Estes Park in 1999. He is from Wyoming and there is little of this bloodline available in the Maryland / Virginia / Pennsylvania area. Date of birth: 7/25/98
Campion is a proven male who knows how to get the job done! Four of his daughters (pictured on their web site) from 2003 include Belladonna Took (Campion x Toe Dancer), Galadriel (Campion x AF Creampuff), Arwen Evenstar (Campion x AF Morgan), and Anastasia (Campion x Mount Airy Cassandra). All have lovely, dense, crimpy fleeces with little guard hair and great fineness and nice bodies. Two are chocolate brown (one from a dam of same color, one from a white dam), one is a maroon color out of a white female whose own mother was a maroon and one is fawn out of a white dam. He is already in demand by other small alpaca farms who want to add his super fineness, great bloodline and density to their herd.
His dam was Guenevere (Switzer-Land Puno x Talara). Previous owners Annie and Steve Segal said of Guenevere, "She has never had any problem birthing and the milk bar was always full for her cria."
Mount Airy Alpaca Company's Stud Fee: $1,500 includes a live cria up to 30 days or free re-breeding. They will do mobile breedings for those in Maryland who are located reasonably near them. $200 discount for breeding to 2 of their sires in the same season.
