We purchased Iago from the Preble's at Sunset Accoyo two years ago at the Mapaca Jubilee, and discovered this year, upon registering his several crias that he wasn't who we thought he was! (That explains all the different microchip numbers.) After months of ARI-conducted blood testing, we now know that we actually own an El Nino son!! That was quite a mix-up...
So, we have simply changed the first two words of his name, those indicating his sire. This is the same handsome guy we purchased at the show, who is producing striking offspring. We knew we liked the look of this guy!
Iago has a wonderful presence and a sweet personality- he is a gentleman and a sweetheart! He's also very robust and healthy, with solid, sturdy legs, a straight topline, and exceptional coverage- just a big, teddy-bear of a macho. His cria are exhibiting the same sweet, easygoing temperaments! Iago is producing well put together babies covered to the toes with gorgeous, fine, crimpy fiber. He is definitely improving upon the dams we've used so far!
With his West Coast bloodlines, Iago has 3 striking cria on the ground to date. His first hit the ground running- a gorgeous DF daughter, from a medium brown dam! He also has a white daughter and a white son, both from white dams. All 3 offspring have very fine, dense, curly, bright fleeces that have us very excited! We really can't wait to see his spring crias.
El Nino's Accoyo Iago is co-owned with our friends Beth and Neal Lutz, of Painted Spring Farm.
Please call to arrange a visit. We both do mobile and on-farm breedings, and love to show off these crias!
